About Silver Lining Wines
Learning the vigneron’s craft from my father among the vines of The Lane Vineyard, provided me with an amazing foundation in the wine industry. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2012 and dealing with the significant upheaval in my life that came with that, it became clear to me that after 19 years at The Lane it was time to refresh, refocus and create my own Silver Lining Wines.
The wines I love to share with family and friends…

Sensational, punchy Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc with lifted pink grapefruit, citrus and blackcurrant leaf aromas. Zesty, intense palate of lemon and lime with hints of tropical notes. A mouth watering and refreshing aperitif. More please.
Site
Planted in 2001 with F4V6 clone @ 2666 vines/Ha. This vineyard just east of Hahndorf is in its own ‘mini’ valley, creating a chilly mico-climate, highly suitable and very desirable for producing quality Sauvignon Blanc.

Chardonnay
Tasting Notes
Lifted white flowers, citrus and white peach aromas. Complex lemon sorbet and grapefruit flavours with flashes of minerality, hints of nectarine and nougat. Compact, linear and crisp with poise, balance and tension. Finely integrated new and seasoned French oak. Seriously delicious.
Site

2023
Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes
Vibrant red cherry and layers of complex spices combine effortlessly with subtle earthy notes. French oak cradles the fruit giving understated elegance and a silky, long, fine finish.
Site
Sourced from one of the steepest sites in the central hills, just outside Lobethal. A site that produces stunning, small, concentrated bunches with excellent flavour.
2022
Shiraz
Tasting Notes
Heady aromas and layered flavours of blueberry, blackberry and fresh red berries with suave notes of violet, keen acidity and silky tannins. Savory notes, white pepper and graphite.
Site
A blend of two; one enjoys a sun filled aspect with epic views over Mt Bold Reservoir toward the southern boundary of the region. The other planted in 1998 with 1654 clone @ 2666 vines/Ha. On the opposite side of the Chardonnay property, maximising sun exposure in the hills just outside Macclesfield.
